Eye Pop Action // #40 Completed!

One of my 101 in 1,001 goals was to create an action within Photoshop.  Basically an action is a set of commands to run on a picture without having to do them step by step every time.  Instead you can open a picture, select an action to run, hit play, and watch the magic happen.  So I did it.  I created an action.  Now, I did not figure out the steps to get the end result.  I got the instructions from Ashley McNamara’s blog.  But I found that I was always using the same method to make eyes naturally stand out.  So why not make an action for this process and make my life a little easier?

Here’s a picture of the results.  You’ll notice that Jordyn’s eyes are nice and sharp, and the color is a little more vibrant without looking phony.

Now, here’s the before.  Do you see the difference?  Focus on the eyes and you’ll be able to see it.  It’s very subtle, and that’s a good thing.

The difference is huge, but it’s enough.  Of course, Jordyn has beautiful blue eyes to begin with, but a little enhancement never hurt.

So there you have it.  If you’d like the instructions on how to achieve this look in photoshop, please visit Ashley McNamara.
