Just Because Session // The W’s

Sometimes you just want to have a session.  For no other reason to capture this moment in time.  This stage of life.  2 people who adore one another.  And their dog.  🙂

I met up with these 2 at their beautiful home.  We took a few photos inside, then moved outside.  Such a fun way to spend a nice September evening.

I love when families incorporate all of their family members, especially the furry ones.

6 mo // Titus

Holy moley!  Apparently it’s been a month since I last posted.  Things have been wild and crazy around here, and it’s continue to be wild and crazy until after Kaitlin’s wedding at the end of September.  I’m soooo looking forward to some down time!  I’ll do my best to pop on here and share what’s going on.  No promises though…

But for now, let me remind you just how adorable my nephew is!!!  I love getting to spend time with him, no matter how short it is.  On Father’s Day I drove down to visit and take this little man’s 6 month pictures.  It was fun spending time with Titus and his parents, especially with his daddy on his first official Father’s Day!

Hard to believe that he is now crawling and pulling himself up into standing position.  He’ll be an early walker like his mama.

Remember Titus’ newborn shoot where we used our grandpa’s old navy truck?  Yea, it’s making an appearance again.  You can see just how much he’s grown in his ripe old age of 6 months!

In other big news…  Titus is going to have a cousin!!!  My brother and sister-in-law are expecting!!!  And we couldn’t be more thrilled!

Disneyland – March 2014 Trip

Let’s just call 2014 the year of Disneyland!  I had the opportunity to go back the Mickey’s land in March, and of course I wasn’t going to pass it up.  In fact, I opted to get an annual pass this trip.  I was fortunate to have a cast member get me in for the 2 days in January, but having the annual pass is a bit more freeing.  Minus the cost.  You win some, you lose some.  I’m calling this a win!

Stephen and Kaitlin were planning on going back with Stephen’s family, and I was invited to go along.  And I/we pretty much had a blast!  If you follow me on IG (@camontague) then you may remember some of the pictures that I posted.

Please note, we were there for about 4 days, but I only carried my big girl camera for 1 or 2 days.  It’s heavy.

I love Cars Land!  It is soooooooo well done!

One afternoon we had lunch at Ariel’s Grotto.  Honestly, I don’t think I’d recommend it.  My meal was more the size of an appetizer and was way over priced.  But, we did get to see 5 or 6 princesses.

An aerial view from the non-swinging car of the ferris wheel.  Quite the view!!!

Kait met one of her favorite characters EVER!  She was pretty much giddy the rest of the trip.

In January, we missed World of Color.  Mostly because someone had to go proposing to my sister, then we had celebratory dinner plans and instead of bolting from dinner we sat and enjoyed the food and conversation.  But this time, we made it!  With a fast pass.  Though, next time, get there sooner.  I had a speaker in front of my view.  And parents that kept putting their kids on their shoulders, which is a no-no.  But it was still so cool!

Ok, so now that it’s been about 4 months, I’m ready to go back!!!

Session // D Girls

I had an idea.  A desire.  A “photography bucket list” item.  To photograph a color session with either color powder (think color runs) or with paint.  I just needed to get a client on board with the idea too.  And luckily, my best friend was game!  And my victims subjects were my 3 adorable honorary nieces.  And well, a few others involuntarily ended up in the mess too.

But first we needed some clean pictures to showcase the girls at their current ages, 4 and 2.

The girls LOVE their chickens.  And they love collecting the eggs.  Don’t worry, no birds were harmed during the session.  😉

Challenge:  Get 3 talkative girls to sit, stay, and smile.  So we had fun with it and shouted out “How would a … take a picture?”  The … ranged from a princess to a pirate.  And at some point I’m pretty sure we also sang “Do you wanna build a snowman?” too.

And in case they still had energy left over, which they did, they decided it was time to play on the playground.

It was then dinner time, which meant first it was bathtime!  And I needed to go cuddle with a visiting Titus.  But boy that was fun!

Session // L Family

I had the pleasure of meeting and hanging out with the lovely L family back in April.  Lisa found me through some past clients, and I’m so glad they did!  It was such a delight to meet everyone, including the fur child/sibling.  I love it when families incorporate all members of the pack into pictures.  I’m such a dog person, and my pups are like my children.  🙂  And the grounds at Pageo were fabulous, as usual.

The next set were my favorite!  I love the silo, the little lavender bushes, the sun peaking from behind.  So fun!  Plus, don’t they look like rock stars!?! Lok Family - 039 Lok Family - 041 Lok Family - 044
