Whitney’s Bridal Shower

Less than a month ago my first cousin got married!  First like, 1st cousin (opposed to 2nd or 3rd twice removed).  But also like, the first of my cousins to get married.  It was a beautiful wedding.  A fun weekend.  And always a pleasure to get out-of-town and see family that I don’t see often enough.  But, I’m not here to share the wedding weekend, that’ll come soon enough.  I’m here to share the bridal shower that “The Aunts” and I threw.  Whitney’s family, family friends, bridesmaids, and college friends joined us for a lovely afternoon honoring my cousin.  And eating delicious food.  🙂

It was a kitchen themed showers.  And the wedding colors are blue and orange.  Well played with the decorations Mom!

Games.  Can’t have a bridal shower without them.  Well, actually you can.  Please Mom and sisters, no games at my bridal shower.  Especially no TP wedding dress.  That’s just plain embarrassing.

Presents!

Such a fun time!  I’m so glad to help Whitney celebrate.  To hear about wedding plans, I always love hearing about wedding plans and details.  And to met those that will surround Paul and her on their upcoming nuptials.

Now that it’s all over though I’m kinda bummed.  We need another family wedding.  3 down, 5 to go (including myself).  Who’s next…?

Nolan @ 4 months

Almond blossom season.  It’s coveted and short lived.  So you’ve got to act fact if you want to take advantage of the little white and pink flowers that flood the central valley.  Rachel was quick to jump at the chance to take pictures of her adorable little family and some of just Nolan, her handsome little man.

Then we snuck in some of the 4 cousins.  We got one good one, and a handful of bloopers that I love because it shows all of their personalities perfectly!

NYE

Kevin and I rang in New Years quietly this year.  Last year…? The 2012/2013 New Year.  We had pizza, beer, played cards, and just took it down right easy.  Not every New Years Eve needs to be a big to-do, right?

And since one little cutie, patootie was turning 1 on the 1st, we had a mini-mini photo shot.  Like, as long as their attention span lasted.

Um, how adorable is she?!?

Happy belated New Year everyone!

Moments

Coming out of an overcast day.  The golden light reflecting off a redwood tree (in my backyard).  I couldn’t help but stop and think about the upcoming year.  The possibilities.  The hopes and dreams.  The promises.  Moments like this are always refreshing.

Tradition

A puzzle for Christmas.  The harder the better.  Mom especially likes the puzzles with repeating patterns.  Right Mom? 😉
