4th of July …in January…

No excuse really.  I’m behind.  And I have pictures that I want to share.  Therefore you get to look at fireworks, sun, and a lake from July while it’s January.  If anything it should be getting you excited for the year to come.  And to cold to go away.

Watching fireworks from my front yard being set off at the high school on the 1st…  Riley was a wimpy dog and insisted on going inside to hide while I sat outside and enjoyed the fireworks.

Then on the 3rd Lake Don Pedro did their firework show.  So I headed up after work to meet up with my parents (who were already there) and Chris and Colleen (who also drove up after work).  As you can tell, it’s reallllly rough watching fireworks while sitting on a sail boat.  Rough I tell you! Those idiots in the canoe, ya we’re pretty sure they had a few too many beers.  Dad yelled at them later because it was dark and they were still in the canoe without life jackets.  Not smart dudes!

Monty got a little puppy prozac to relax him during the fireworks.  No joke, that dog would have jumped ship.  Literally!  So he was all chill, hanging out the “the head” (aka the bathroom).  Riley got locked up in there too, sans the drug.

That night I drove home because I had a hair appointment in the morning, and Kevin and I were going to go back up on the 4th of July.  Poor guy was working nights at the time.  So he slept until I picked him up, then he went back to sleep around 3.  At least it’s easy to fall asleep on a rocking boat.  Very soothing. Chris and Colleen had said the night and decided to hang out longer with us instead of going home.  Good times!

Seriously.  I.am.ready.for.summer!  At least spring.  Just any temperature greater than 60.
